A charter school is a public school established by teachers, parents, and community groups and funded by taxpayers.

Our school has a unique focus area.  We have developed a comprehensive educational plan that offers students world languages, such as, Armenian, Spanish, Italian, etc. The school also offers Armenian history, Mexican history, literature, and other cultural education in dance, music, and art.

Charter schools are a type of taxpayer-funded education in the United States that is tuition-free. Charter Schools give students admission, notwithstanding the family income. This means that minority families get a chance to send their kids to this school. Charter schools are autonomous and have no ties to the school districts; they achieve this through state or local board contracts. These schools are usually created by the community to bridge a certain gap or achieve certain goals. The goal of LWCCHS is to give a comprehensive cultural education to its students. 

Our school is tuition-free.  It offers small classroom sizes and academic excellence is in different world cultures. LWCCHS will be the first school in the surrounding districts that will offer global languages and world culture classes. STEM classes and CTE education will be the second highlight of the school. LWCCHS’s motto is to prepare its students to be ready for postsecondary education and careers.

If the charter petition is approved, the school will open in August of 2022.

The proposed location of the school is in Van Nuys, CA.
